How to Apply?
The last date for submissions has passed. We are no longer accepting any new submissions.

- Self Nomination: A PIO or a citizen can apply himself/herself.
- Nomination by a citizen: Anyone can nominate an eligible PIO for the Best PIO award or an eligible citizen for the Best Citizen Award.
- The Forms for nomination can be downloaded from this website or obtained from our office or requested by post.
- The forms can be filed online. Or the forms, complete in all respects, could be sent by post or hand delivered at the above address. Photocopies of forms can also be used.

Each citizen nominating himself/ herself for the Best Citizen of the Year Award should attach the following documents along with his/ her nomination form:
- a. Copy of RTI application
- b. Copies of response to RTI application
- c. Optional: Any other material like photos, videos audios or any other material for better understanding and evaluation of the impact created by his/her RTI Application.
- Forms should either be typewritten or filled in neat handwriting in English/ Hindi only.
- Last date for receipt of nominations is 30th June 2009.
- Incomplete forms or those forms received after 5 pm on 30th June, 2009 shall not be entertained. However, online applicants nominating themselves for the Best Citizen of the Year Award shall ensure that their attached documents, complete in all respect must be received latest by 5 pm on 7th July, 2009.
- All the forms received through post shall be duly acknowledged either by post or on phone. The applicants must contact the organizers if the acknowledgement is not received within 15 days of sending the nomination.
